Soul Ascension is an 5 piece Rock band playing some of your favorite covers and kick ass originals. SA hails from New Britain, CT lead by President of Operations Eric Downer (Guitar/Vocals). Second in command is Lead Vocalist/Acoustic Rhythm Guitarist Jonathan Budris (formerly of Just Plain Villains).
Eric Downer writes and plays all original songs. His first self titled album “Soul Ascension” features a...n interesting array of acoustic and rock industrial sounds. His most notable songs are “Willow”, a light acoustic love song and “Deemonds”, a drum based devilish tune with catchy lyrics.Soul Ascension's second album entitled DOWN was built on experimentation with different styles, most notably in the song "Fly".
Jonathan Budris is a very talented musician playing cello, guitar, bass and pretty much anything he can get his hands on. Jon is an incredible song writer. His on stage presence bring the whole SA show to another level with lots of energy and amusement. He has played many of the hottest venues in CT and some in Mass. All of his experience is bringing the band to a new light. Stay Tuned!

Mike Kusznir started as a hydrogen atom deep within the core of an ancient star. Long story short... Explosion, accretion, heat; and 13.8 billion years later a drummer on a pale blue dot started hitting things. The grandson of a drummer,he can count to 4, and have always enjoyed hitting things; not only drums, but rocks, walls, handrails, desktops, or anything else upon which his empty hands or sticks can make noise. Like the great Buddy Rich said, “When I play a room, I really play the room.”
